Cheryl C. Griffin Named Professional of the Year in Physical Education
Cheryl Griffin celebrates her latest honor in her successful 30-year career
HAMPTON, VA, September 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cheryl C. Griffin, Physical Education Teacher at Hampton City Schools, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Physical Education. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Honored as the Hampton Teacher of the Year by Aberdeen Elementary School and the Delta Woman of the Year by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Mrs. Griffin is a respected member of her community. For the past 30 years, she has remained dedicated to the field of education. Currently a physical education instructor for Hampton City Schools, she specializes in teaching students in kindergarten through the fifth grade.
Mrs. Griffin became involved in her profession due to her love of sports and attributes her success to her enjoyment of her work. The recipient of a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, she holds membership to the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. After three decades in the teaching profession, she looks forward to entering retirement and traveling.
