The third edition of the increasingly popular spin-off of the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race (MMER) will be held between December 1st and 3rd and will feature production cars with engines below 1900cc.

Current and former professionals from around the world, including Australia and Japan, will take part in the gruelling competition, which is designed to cater to smaller vehicles that can no longer compete in the MMER.

It means that newcomers and inexperienced teams can use the event as a stepping stone on their way to the MMER, guaranteeing a competitive race.

The most recent Sepang 1000km Endurance Race took place last summer, with kids' entertainment including singing and colouring competitions, as well as appearances from local cartoon stars Upin and Ipin.
