Naples Pool Service Provider Sponsors Greater Fort Myers Golf Classic on Oct 14
Pool Pros Inc., a Naples pool service provider, sponsors the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic on October 14 at the Fort Myers Country Club.

FORT MYERS, FL, September 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Naples pool service provider, Pool Pros Inc., announces their golf team will be coming back to defend their title for the third year running in the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic. The tournament will be held on October 14th at the Fort Myers Country Club, 3591 McGregor Blvd. Golf pro, Nolan Henke will be heading up their team.

For the past two years, the Pool Pros golf team has claimed victory in this tournament as the "Overall Winning Team", and has also gained the title of "Best Dressed" team. Pool Pros Owner, Joe Mitchell jokes, "It's not about how well you play, it's about whether you look good trying! Our team is very excited about this tournament. We are looking forward to taking home the winning title for a 3rd year!"

Although the Pool Pros team enjoys playing golf and having fun, they also appreciate the opportunity to help the community through support of the local Chamber of Commerce. Mitchell was recently appointed as a Board Member for the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and continues to chair the education committee. Within the education committee, he's able to facilitate grants requested by local teachers and assist the progress of watchdog programs, a father based support system, in Lee County schools.

"We want to do our part to help organizations that support the improvement of our community," said Mitchell. "We enjoy being involved in events like these not only to develop relationships with the golfers in the community, but also to come together as a company and have fun, while providing our support."

To begin the event, the winner of the Fort Myers Chamber Idol contest will sing the National Anthem. The culmination of the event will occur when a helicopter flies over the golf course dropping golf balls. According to Mitchell, a prize of $3,000 will be awarded to the owner of the golf ball that comes closest to the hole.

In addition to the upcoming tournament, the Pool Pros team has also supported a variety of other worthy causes. They recently sponsored the "11-Up Golf Tournament" fundraiser, along with Quality Service Pros, to benefit local sculptor San Priest's project for the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. Priest created a set of sculptures, created out of blocks of concrete taken from the foundation of the World Trade Center. The first was placed at Ground Zero, and the remaining ten are to be placed at various locations around the country.
